Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced department manager to join our international team. Here’s what you can expect in the role:
- Begin leading a team of approximately 60 engineers with the goal of growing your department
- Oversee your department’s development strategies and define a direction of growth
- Manage employees, spearhead interviewing and hiring processes, lead training and professional development initiatives, and conduct performance reviews
- Cooperate with sales and business development departments and participate in pre-sale activities. Conduct negotiations with potential customers, assess projects, prepare technical solutions and offers, and initiate new projects for your department
- Manage delivery processes and maintain responsibility for projects and clients
- Manage finances of your department
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has:
- 5+ years experience in people and delivery management in a software delivery environment
- Strong understanding of and experience working with the polish labor market
- Thorough understanding of agile development methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban
- A technical background with experience in web development, mobile development, RM, etc.
- Experience in pre-sales and working closely with clients
- Well-developed managerial and organizational skills, preferably entrepreneurial skills
- A B2 level of English and Polish or higher, excellent communication skills
- Interest in building your competencies and developing your business niche
